About Us
Pastor Beverly Flowers is a retired Ordained Elder in the United Methodist Church with over 24 years of ordained ministry and 20 years of distinguished service in the United States Air Force. She is the founder of The Oil of Joy Ministry, an Evangelical mission purposed to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ throughout the world.
Throughout her ministry, Pastor Beverly has been invited to preach at churches across the country, including Church of the Disciples UMC in DeSoto, Texas, Memorial Baptist Church in Kansas City, Missouri, Union Memorial UMC in St. Louis, Missouri, and First African Missionary Baptist on St. Simons Island, Georgia. Carrying the Good News of Jesus Christ beyond the walls of the church and into local communities and around the world. It is our mission to reach those who are hurting and introduce them to God's gift of salvation and the joy of the Lord.
Pastor Beverly serves as a fill-in preacher and Associate Evangelist, delivering anointed messages each fourth Sunday at Joycliff UMC, Macon, GA, and accepts invitations to preach at churches.
Through Noonday Bible Study and special teaching engagements, Pastor Beverly equips believers with deep biblical understanding, connecting scripture to everyday life with clarity, wisdom, and pastoral heart.
Drawing on her M.Div. in Pastoral Care and Counseling, Pastor Beverly provides compassionate support to the grieving, the hurting, and those navigating life's most difficult seasons — walking alongside families in love and prayer.
Inspired by Rev. John Wesley's declaration — "The World Is My Parish" — The Oil of Joy Ministry exists to share the love and compassion of Jesus Christ with all people, everywhere, without exception.
We believe in the power of prayer. Submit your prayer request and our ministry team will lift you before the throne of grace. No need is too great or too small — "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Phil. 4:13

From being discovered as an abandoned 15-month-old toddler in a basement, to standing behind the pulpit as an Ordained Elder in the United Methodist Church — this is a story that only God could write.
"Rescued, Restored, and Ready for More" — a testimony of God's faithfulness across a lifetime of service, sacrifice, and sovereign grace.
Pastor Beverly's memoir traces her remarkable journey through military service, seminary training, and 24 years of pastoral ministry across Georgia and beyond. It is a story of abandonment turned to adoption, of struggle turned to strength, of the basement turned to the pulpit.

"I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh. Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions. Even on the male and female servants in those days I will pour out my Spirit." — Acts 2:17–18
All flesh. Sons and daughters. Old and young. Servants and leaders. God left nobody off the list.
And then Peter made it personal — "The promise is for you, and for your children, and for all who are far off." (Acts 2:39)
You may feel overlooked. Too old. Too young. Too far gone. But God's promise has your name on it. The Spirit is not for a select few — He is for YOU. Right now. Right where you are.
— Pastor Beverly A. Flowers, M.Div.
We believe in the power of prayer and the promise that God hears every cry of the heart. Whatever you are facing — grief, illness, uncertainty, or a need for salvation — we would be honored to stand with you in prayer.
